Ballenisles located in Palm Beach Gardens Florida contains three of the most exquisite and exclusive golf courses in the world. Ballenisles Country Club features three courses the East, North and South course.
The East Course - this course was designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee in 1963 and contain sanctuaries for waterfowl and many species of indigenous birds. This par 72 course was redesigned in 2008 by world-renowned ASGCA architect Keith Foster. Foster has designed over 20 of the top 100 golf courses in the US. This renovation added more than 2600 additional trees, 20,000 new plants and shrubs as well as notable and challenging course variations. The championship tee is 7189 yards with a 74.7 rating and a slope of 139. The tournament tee is 6634 yards with a rating of 72.2 and a slope of 134. The member tee is a 6216 yard course with a 70.0 rating and a 132 slope.
The North course was also designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee and was opened in 1964 as a nine-hole golf course. In 1969 an additional nine holes were created as well as an extensive renovation in 1994. The course winds along beautiful, pristine lakes and nature preserves with a par-72 and generous fairways. There’s a Gold, Blue and White Tee ranging in size from 5992 to 6768 in length from a 69.3 272.1 rating and slopes of 126 to 136.
The South course was recently redesigned by Gene Bates golf design. It originally opened in 1964 with just nine holes and expanded in 1970 by Joe Lee to 18 holes. In 2000 and was completely redesigned and today this par 72 regulation course is the member’s favorite. There’s challenging layouts, rewarding strategies and a variety of links and ratings. There are Gold, Blue and White Tees from 6068 to 6872 and a rating of 69.3 to 73.4 and a slope of 126 two 137.
