Where is Palm Beach Gardens Florida?
Palm Beach Gardens Florida is a beautiful city located in Palm Beach County on Florida’s southeast coast. It’s a collection of gated communities, golf courses, and country clubs. It’s surrounded by neighboring cities of Juno Beach, Jupiter, Riviera Beach, Palm Beach, and Royal Palm Beach and is located about an hour and 20 minutes north of Miami. About an hour west of Palm Beach Gardens is Lake Okeechobee and straight across Florida’s panhandle is Fort Myers, about 130 miles or two hours and 40 minutes from Palm Beach Gardens. Palm Beach Gardens Florida is home to just less than 50,000 annual residents and a lot of seasonal residents, snowbirds, and vacationers. The city has a total of 55 mi.² most of it being land but interspersed with lots of man-made waterways and lakes. Over 30% of the land is dedicated to green space with nature preserves and wildlife refuge areas all over the county.
Transportation
Palm Beach Gardens is easily accessible along Interstate 95 which runs North and South along Florida’s southeast coast. Highway 80 or state route 441 runs East and West across the state and Highway 18 splits off in North Palm Beach Gardens and runs closer to the shoreline. I 95 opened in 1987 between PGA Boulevard and Palm Beach Gardens paving the way for new development immediately to the north of the city. This was the last remaining gap in the entire length of I-95 between Florida and main. The city is also served by two interchanges on Florida’s Turnpike.
Palm Beach Gardens offers a commuter bus called PalmTran . The nearest major airports are located in West Palm Beach which is 12 miles South, Fort Lauderdale which is 58 miles south and Miami which is about 82 miles south of the city. Smaller airports are located a little bit closer in Boca Raton, Stuart, and Lantana.
