Earlier this year, members of the Mirasol Country Club approved a nearly $40 million dollars plan, which will include new fine dining restaurants, an expanded ballroom, dining outlets, fitness centers, improved golf facilities and multiple swimming pools. Nearly 94% of the members voted in this comprehensive plan to enhance the existing amenities of the Country Club. The Board of Directors and Strategic Planning Committee developed a long-term plan that cost effectively balances the need of the community.
Many of these new amenities are already underway and will include a fine dining signature restaurant, casual dining spots, expanding the existing ballroom, a two-story fitness center with yoga, Pilates, and spin classes as well as group instruction studios, a tranquil and luxurious spa, separate lap pool, children's and fitness swimming pools as well as improved golf practice facilities.
More and more country clubs around the Palm Beach Gardens area are expanding and improving and if Mirasol is expected to keep up with the new subdivisions such as Alton, it must expand and stay on top of its existing amenities.
Members are looking for more leisure activities with a greater focus on health and wellness. They plan to expand these specific types of facilities to attract new homeowners and members and retain existing members and their families.
The board collected over two years of feedback from over 1400 members focusing on creativity, desirability of a neighborhood, existing needs and future needs. Local architects and planning advisors felt that Mirasol's club leadership was one of the most informative and member driven plans they had ever seen. This new proposal will not only generate more members but will be exciting for a new talented team of club professionals. Mirasol has already been the leader in area amenities and prestigious gated communities and this will enhance the appeal and attractiveness to potential homeowners and members.
Mirasol is enlisting the services of Peacock + Lewis and will be managed by Weitz Construction and Krent Wieland Design Inc. as the landscape architects. The entire project expects to be completed by June 2016.
